Golf

Norton demonstrates that he is not very well versed in sports, golf in particular. And it appears that Wilfrid has the patience of a saint. I really like Norton’s misuse of sports lingo in the last panel, where he only reinforces Wilfrid’s conclusion made in the previous panel. Not to over analyze it, because it is a comic strip after all, but when considering that Norton and Wilfrid are brothers who grew up together, in retrospect it seems curious that Wilfrid would be so unaware of Norton’s lack of knowledge about golf, or any sport for that matter. For the time being I won’t worry about it too much and just chalk it up to being part of the wonder and magic of comics.
