Norton’s culinary skills are probably not as up to par as he thinks. Or more correctly he is aware of his limitations in the kitchen but he just holds a higher sense of pride in his limitations than most people would. I suppose we can call that confidence mixed with self-awareness. Not to be confused with ignorance. Fortunately Wilfrid is consistently there to keep Norton’s non-existent ego in check, just in case it is ever needed. Wilfrid balances Norton out and keeps him grounded, as a best friend and brother always should. I like that about the two of them.
