Basketball Season

With the NBA basketball season starting up in October, this strip seemed appropriate. Basketball fans will understand this strip right away. Norton clearly is not that much of a basketball fan, or at least does not follow it closely. For you non-basketball fans, like Norton, please let me explain.

If by chance you are unfamiliar with the Globetrotters (and by extension the Generals), you should perform a quick internet search to bring yourself up to speed. If you have done your internet search, the gag of this comic strip should be apparent. Basically, Wilfrid likes to watch the basketball, particularly the NBA, and that Norton is not well versed in the sport. As such, Norton makes a comment on his guess on the probable outcome of the game, for which the basis of his guess is flawed.

On this strip I diverted from the usual plain t-shirts that both Norton and Wilfrid are wearing. Norton is wearing a t-shirt which gives a nod to the debut album from the the band Rush. And Wilfrid is just wearing his Raptors jersey over his usual purple t-shirt. It gives a nice change to the appearance of the strip.
