About Norton & Wilfrid

Norton & Wilfrid is a traditional four panel newspaper style comic strip about brothers, and best friends, Norton and Wilfrid. Norton is the funny man with outrageous ideas. Wilfrid is slightly older, wiser, and more grounded of the two. Wilfrid often takes Norton’s outrageous ideas back down to reality through reason and common sense. Although Norton’s ideas are sometimes child-like in concept, he has the added perspective of an adult to rationalize them.

Brief biographies for Norton, Wilfrid and their creator respectively, all of whom are characters in their own right, are provided below:

Norton
Norton

Norton is a university graduate in his late twenties who sports a pair of glasses. He earned a degree in science, following in the footsteps of his older brother Wilfrid. He is a genuinely nice guy with a unique perspective on pretty much everything and anything. He possesses a child-like sense of curiosity and wonderment countered with an adult sense of somewhat worldly experience. When those two sides of his personality interact, the inner child sometimes outweighs his adult sense of practicality. Fortunately his older brother and best friend Wilfrid is usually around to keep him grounded in such situations.

Wilfrid

Wilfrid is Norton’s older brother of about three years and he sports a goatee and nice clean head where his hair once was. Like Norton, Wilfrid also earned a university degree in science. Wilfrid’s best friend is his little brother Norton. Wilfrid provides a reasoned approach to problems, which provides balance to Norton’s somewhat outside of the box style of thinking. Although Wilfrid doesn’t always actively discourage Norton’s more outrageous ideas, he tries his best to not encourage the ones that really aren’t in anybody’s best interest. Wilfrid does his best to keep Norton grounded. It doesn’t always work, but hey, at least he tried, right?
